The Chinese Government Blocks WhatsApp in the Send Photo and Video Feature
Recently there has been unpleasant news from China's bamboo curtain country. Reportedly, a number of users of WhatsApp app in China cannot use the sending feature of the photo and also can not receive multimedia files on their mobile device.
As quoted from Nytimes.com site, the Chinese government is in the process of blocking the application of messaging services.
Although the application WhatsApp very popular in most parts of the world, but in China, this platform is not widely used because of the original WeChat application made in China more dominating there.
However, WhatsApp's advantages are offering encrypted messages, making this chat app a useful tool for many Chinese people to communicate or do business abroad or in Hong Kong.
Facebook and Instagram Already Blocked Previously
As we know, the Chinese government has been blocking Facebook for a long time. The reason for the blockade is that Facebook does not comply with requests from the Chinese government to build servers there with special supervision by the Chinese government.
In addition to Facebook, social media sharing applications photos, Instagram, has also been blocked by the Chinese government some time ago. And now turn WhatsApp that still survive although some features of this application also can not be used.
Some WhatsApp users in China even say it can no longer use WhatsApp applications on their smartphones.
